Pineapple Lime Infused Hydration Water
*Recipe makes 2 Litres
½ a small peeled and cored pineapple chopped into bite sized chunks
5 sprigs of fresh basil roughly chopped (optional)
Juice of 1 ½ limes
½ of a lime thinly sliced
1 ½ tsp. of raw, unpasteurized local honey OR Maple syrup to make it Vegan
1 pinch of sea salt
1.5 litre of filtered water
Put all ingredients into a large 2 litre glass or BPA free plastic container.
Muddle or lightly mash the ingredients together to release the flavours.
Stir well and then store in the fridge for an hour or so to let flavours blend.
Drink during aerobic or physical activity lasting 30 minutes or longer OR use as a recovery drink after exercise to replenish lost minerals and electrolytes!
